Product description

This beautiful Viking Torque, made of high-quality bronze, is a masterpiece of craftsmanship and workmanship. Designed for both men and women, the torque has an inner circumference of 42 cm and an inner diameter of 13.5 cm. The middle piece has a thickness of approximately 0.55 cm, while the heads of the torque each measure 2 x 1 cm and have a height of 1 cm. The torque is decorated with Hugin and Munin, the ravens of the Norse supreme god Odin.

Hugin and Munin, whose names mean "thoughts" and "memories", are Odin's messengers in Norse mythology. They fly around the world every day, collecting information that helps Odin maintain his power and knowledge. These ravens represent wisdom, insight and the power of knowledge, and they play a crucial role in mythology by keeping the gods informed of everything that is happening in the world.

In the Viking Age, torques, the heavy neck rings, were not only jewelry but also status symbols, worn by warriors, kings and dignitaries. They served as an expression of power and prestige.
