How do I maintain my sword

Both blunt and sharp swords need to be maintained regularly. Remove rust from your sword with fine sandpaper. Remove burrs with a whetstone. Irregularities can be polished away with polishing compound or fluoride toothpaste. Finally, it is wise to oil your sword regularly. This can be done with Ballistol or Hanwei sword oil.

Ballistol anti-rustspray and more

Ballistol was developed during the First World War. The goal was to create a care spray that could maintain all parts of the rifle. Ballistol is therefore made to care for steel, wood, and leather and does this perfectly! All parts of historical weapons such as swords and sword scabbards are best maintained with Ballistol. The oil penetrates the wood and leather and provides a protective layer.
