With Ballistol, all parts of a armour, leather, steel, and even wood can be cared for. It penetrates like beeswax into wood and leather, leaving a protective layer behind. It's not necessary to oil armour parts until they are dripping; occasionally a small layer of grease is sufficient. This also applies to swords and other medieval weapons.

Maintaining and replacing armor straps and rivets

With all wearable armour parts that are regularly used, rivets and straps will eventually become damaged. These are available separately and can be easily replaced. Therefore, remove the damaged rivet and/or strap. Make a hole in the strap where the rivet fits. Attach the new strap using the rivet.
