Product description

This shield brooch is based on originals from the 7th-8th century Vendel period. It contains various early medieval symbols such as an Othala rune, sun crosses and triquetras. Shield brooches were worn by Viking women on the chest on the hangeroc and chains were hung on this. In this way women showed their possessions and social status. This shield brooch is delivered per piece, so for a pair please order 2 pieces.
