Product description
This small, simple chain distributor allows you to attach multiple Viking chains to a pair of brooches. It is a practical accessory often seen in Viking Age artifacts, particularly in regions such as Sweden, Gotland, and the Baltic.
The chain distributor can connect several chains between two brooches, or it can also be used to hang a toilet set from a brooch, adding both functionality and style to Viking-era garments. The distributor is crafted in bronze.
The dimensions of the Viking chain distributor, including the hook, are 2.2 x 2 cm, and it can hold up to four chains. The price is for one piece, so for a pair, please order two. From around 700 to 1000 AD, oval brooches were commonly worn by Vikings in Northern Europe, and chain distributors played an important role in connecting chains across the chest. These distributors are frequently found in women's graves in eastern Scandinavia and the Baltic region, reflecting their essential place in Viking women's costumes.
