Product description
The design of this gugel was inspired by the discovery of a bog body still clothed and wrapped in a woolen blanket at Skjoldehamn farm in Andoya, Norway. While the exact age is still uncertain, recent surveys point to the 11th century. The sex of the bog body worn by the Viking Gugel has also not been conclusively determined, although it is currently believed to be female. The Viking hood was an essential item of clothing worn by the Vikings during their expeditions and voyages of discovery. The gugel was made of durable materials such as wool and offered protection against the harsh elements of the Nordic countries. This gugel is a great accessory for festivals, LARP, reenactment and especially on cold and wet days it will keep you warm.
