The braies were the underpants of the medieval period. They were worn by men under their trousers or under their hose. Over the centuries, the underpants became more elaborate, but originally they reached to the knees or even to the ground. Braies can be seen in various medieval manuscripts and on statues, such as the sculptures at the Reims Cathedral.
These braies feature a drawstring at the waist, allowing you to adjust them to your size. They are very comfortable and made of linen. They have aiglets for attaching chausses.
