Product description
A beautiful war hammer by Windlass Steelcraft based on historical weapons from 1400 used in Germany. The war hammer is a melee weapon from the late Middle Ages. The armor of knights on horseback was constantly improved during the Middle Ages, so that it was strong enough against swords and other medieval weapons. The war hammer is made to pierce armor and inflict major damage. The war hammer was the weapon of the elite. Only cavalry on horseback could afford this weapon to destroy armor parts of the opponent. It is therefore a close combat melee weapon. The war hammer was light and fast, which was an improvement over the mace. This war hammer has a wooden shaft with nails. It has a long spike and several smaller spikes. A great melee weapon for the collector of the Middle Ages. Perfect for reenactment battles and medieval reenactment.
