Product description
This shield is based on medieval kite shields seen in manuscripts and on tapestries. The shield has a blackened finish, which prevents it from rusting. Also ideal if you want to paint it. The Knights Templar used such kite shields in sword and shield combination during sword fighting. Such shields were quite compact, making them easy to carry by a knight on horseback. Shields like these were used during the Crusades. The back is equipped with a strap and a handle.
