Product description
This German sallet is based on an original from 1480 made in Nuremberg. This type of sallet is a German development of the type of helmet that was so popular in the second half of the 15th century. Both the aristocracy and foot soldiers were often equipped with sallets. Sometimes sallets were mass-produced before campaigns began. This sallet has a movable neck protector so that the neck protector protects more of the neck, shoulders and back but offers optimal freedom of movement. It can be combined well with different types of bevors. Often this type of helmet was also worn without a bevor. The helmet can be worn half on the head, just like the classic Corinthian helmets. It can be worn with an open visor, in which case you can pull up the visor of the bevor to protect the lower part of your face. It can also be worn with a closed visor, in which case it offers maximum protection. The inside of this helmet is equipped with a custom-adjustable textile helmet insert and chin strap.
