These versatile medieval ankle boots are based on originals that can be seen in manuscripts and on stained glass windows. Ankle boots such as these were worn by all classes in society. Historically, they were often combined with wooden pattens. Shoes were very expensive and people had use them for years. Wooden pattens protected the shoes against the dirtiness of the city streets, damages and wear. The ankle boots are easy to put on by sliding your foot into the shoe and closing it with the leather laces on the side. The bottom edge of the shoe at the sole is beautifully decorated with white lining which gives a visual contrast with the black color of the leather. The ankle boots are made from high quality vegetable tanned black leather. The soles are made of rubber, in order to make the footwear last longer and they prevent slipping on slippery surfaces such as wet grass. The perfect footwear for your medieval reenactment or LARP costume.

Maintenance & care
Just as with weaponry, you can care for your shoes and leatherware by applying a little Ballistol after cleaning. This prevents the leather from drying out.

Packaged with 100% recycled material
When packaging this item, we exclusively use 100% recycled plastic and recycled paper/cardboard from FSC certified forests. We reuse a large part of the material directly without the intervention of a recycling process.
Recycle the material by separating your waste:
1. Cardboard: separate or reuse your paper.
2. Plastic cushions, clothing bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse your plastic. If possible, pierce the cushions with a volume reduction needle.
3. Paper packaging for jewelry and small items: these have a plastic inner layer. Remove these, then separate your paper and plastic.
