Product description

This LARP shield is based on historic Norman shields. They were originally made for cavalrymen but were also popular among foot soldiers because they could protect their legs. They used shields like this during the conquest of England. The shield is beautifully and lifelike painted, so that it looks like it is made of vertical wooden planks that are painted white with blue, through which you can see the grain of the wood. It is painted with attention for the smallest details, so it also has a worn appearance as is normal for the shield of a warrior. The edge seems to be really made of leather. The shield boss is also lifelike, complete with imitation steel rivets. The back of the shield has several straps, so you can wear it on both arms and in different positions.
