Product description

The great bascinet was developed from the early 15th century. Its main advantage over the traditional bascinet is that it is equipped with a neck guard, providing additional protection for the neck, making an aventail or camail no longer strictly necessary. Bascinets like this offered extensive protection and were used both on the battlefield and during jousting.

This helmet is made from 2 mm thick steel and is ideal for reenactment battles.
