Discover the meaning and beauty of the Kujaku sword, named after the Japanese word for peacock. The peacock symbolizes compassion and kindness, and is believed to bring good health. The blade is hand-forged from 1045 carbon steel in the Shinogi Zukuri style with a groove (Bo-Hi). It features a sharp edge and a stunning hamon pattern for an authentic look. The handle is wrapped in black cotton in the classic Hineri Maki style, while the high-gloss lacquered wooden sheath exudes elegance. With a long tang secured by two bamboo pins (Mekugi) in the handle, the sword can be fully disassembled. Only high-quality and authentic materials are used, with no plastic components. The blade collar (Habaki) and washers (Seppa) are made of brass, and the traditional handle is adorned with genuine ray skin. All decorations (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) are meticulously handcrafted from metal. The sword comes with a protective fabric case, a John Lee seal, and a certificate. Prevent rust and corrosion by oiling your weapons regularly. Remove rust easily with black sandpaper. Remove burrs with a whetstone. Make sure you have removed all burrs before using a battle-ready weapon, as they can cause wounds.
When packaging this item, we exclusively use 100% recycled plastic and recycled paper/cardboard from FSC certified forests. We reuse a large part of the material directly without the intervention of a recycling process.
Recycle the material by separating your waste:
1. Cardboard: separate or reuse your paper.
2. Plastic cushions, clothing bags and plastic tape: separate or reuse your plastic. If possible, pierce the cushions with a volume reduction needle.
3. Paper packaging for jewelry and small items: these have a plastic inner layer. Remove these, then separate your paper and plastic.
