Product description

The grip of this knife is decorated with a ram's head. Among the Celts, Germans, and Vikings, the ram was a symbol of fertility, strength, leadership, and battle. In Germanic mythology, the ram was associated with Wodan (Odin). In both Germanic and Celtic agricultural cultures, the ram was also an important symbol, as sheep and their products were crucial for sustenance. For the Vikings, the ram's head likely had a social and status-related function. Decorations featuring animals, including the ram's head, were often applied to high-quality objects, such as weapons and clothing of high-ranking individuals. This not only added symbolic weight to both the wearer and the object but also emphasized the social status and warrior qualities of the owner.
