Product description
Dresses like this were worn from the late 8th century well into the Middle Ages. They were a development from the Germanic peplos-like dresses, worn with a long under-tunic. The diamond twill weave is a status symbol, as such weavings were very common. They also add extra durability to the seams of the garment. This warm dress made from 100% recycled wool fabric is perfect for Viking reenactment on cooler days.
