Product description
The crane is the symbol for luck, loyalty and power in the Japanese tradition. This much loved symbol decorates Hanweis Mizutori wakizashi. This wakizashi is completely handmade and inspired by the old originals that were used on the battlefield. This wakizashi is made of several layers of steel (damast) that are each individually hardened and tempered with Hamon. The high quality blade is further created with Hamaguri. The tsuba and menuki contain both motives of the crane. The grip is made of shagreen and wrapped round with roughly woven silk.
