Product description
The sickle is one of the oldest agricultural implements in the world. The oldest traces of the sickle date from the Neolithic, and today similar tools are still used for garden maintenance. From the start of the agricultural culture, the sickle has been an important tool for harvesting and collecting feed for cattle. The half-moon shaped blade is perfect for cutting grass and agricultural crops. This can be done by hand or by attaching the sickle to a shaft.
The sickle is also associated with druids because they would go into the forest with the sickle to cut off medicinal herbs. The sickle is also known as a weapon of poor foot soldiers. In times of war, farmers used their agricultural tools as weapons.
This sickle is an asset for re-enactment, LARP, Cosplay and for museums and collectors. You can use it to portray a farmer or peasant woman, a herbal lady, a druid, a foot soldier or a serf.
