This Gothic lantern is a replica of an original excavated in Medieval London. Lanterns were a primary source of light in the medieval home or castle. They shielded open fires. Besides practical purposes, such a beautiful lantern also had a decorative function in the household. This lantern is decorated with Gothic trefoils and has a horn door.
