Product description
This Greek fitting is a replica of a Greek gorgon decoration. The original dates back to the Greek classical period (500 BC to 323 BC). These types of decorations were widely used during the Persian Wars. Gorgons were also often depicted on hoplite shields. Gorgons like this were used into the Hellenistic period, also by the Etruscans and the Romans during the royal period and early republic. This gorgon is perfect as a decoration for a linothorax.
