Product description

Wax tablets like these were used from Roman times until the Middle Ages. Eventually it fell into disuse because paper became cheaper. You can write in this sink with the spatula (wax scribe). You can erase what you have written with the back of the wax tablet. This makes it an ideal pocket book. In the Roman Empire, wax tablets were even used for bookkeeping. This wax tablet is delivered including a decorated spatula.
