Product description
"Pangur Bán" is an old Irish poem from the 9th century, which describes the relationship between a monk and his cat. The poem explores the parallels between the monk's quest for knowledge and his cat's pursuit of mice, as both creatures lose themselves in their respective tasks while living side by side in a monastery. This wood carving is handmade. It is crafted in the Insular Celtic art style used in early medieval Ireland. This figurine can stand independently.
