Product description
This bag is a direct reconstruction of a grave find from Rösta, Jämtland (Sweden), dating back to the 10th century. In addition, the design is based on similar finds from the famous Viking trading centre Birka (Sweden), specifically from graves 93B, 154, 716, 731, 855, 904, 943 and 956. These "type 3A bags" are known as "Birka Viking bags", although their origins actually lie on the Hungarian steppes. They probably came to Scandinavia as imported goods via contacts with the Magyars. They have been found widely throughout the Viking world. The bags were probably spread throughout the Viking world via trade. This bag is perfect for re-enacting Vikings, Magyars, Rusvik Vikings, Avars and Slavs.
