Product description
Dresses like this were worn from the late 8th century well into the Middle Ages. They were an evolution from the Germanic peplos-like dresses that were worn in combination with a long under tunic. The diamond twill weave is a symbol of status, as weavings like this were common and used since the Iron Age. The dress is made with gores at the side for extra freedom of movement. This warm Viking dress is ideal for early medieval reenactment.
