Product description

This replica is made after the 14th century helmet of Sir Richard Pembridge, the original can be viewed in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh (Scotland). The large helmet or pot helmet emerged in the 12th century in connection with the Crusades and continued to be used by both knights and heavy infantry throughout Europe until the 14th century. During these centuries it changed from a simple design with only small slits for eyes and mouth to a rounded helmet. The maximum inner circumference is 68 cm, excluding helmet insert. This helmet is equipped with an inlay and chin strap. If you want to wear extra padding, measure your head circumference while wearing it. The padded liner already attached to the inside of the helmet is usually sufficient. To create more space in the helmet, the helmet insert can be removed.
